Girls Scouts – Great Rivers Council was honored as one of 12 finalists by the Organizations of Noteworthy Excellence (ONE) Awards, sponsored by the Business Courier on Tuesday, Oct. 23.

From the 12 finalists, winners were chosen in 4 categories - People, Principles, Process, and Performance - as well as the overall ONE Award. Girl Scouts – Great Rivers Council took top honors as the overall ONE Award winner in all categories.

Barbara J. Bonifas, CEO of Girl Scouts – Great Rivers Council received the award saying, “I accept this award on behalf of the 22,000 girls, 9,000 volunteers, and paid staff who are dedicated to our mission.”

About 400 people attended the presentation of the awards at Music Hall. Organizations considered for the ONE Award undergo an extensive review process, similar to that used for the nationally recognized Baldrige Awards. The ONE Award recognizes the best business practices among Greater Cincinnati’s nonprofits.
